Course content

The first phase of the course deals with basic artistic and sculptural theory, which includes colour theory alongside drawing, painting and sculptural techniques. It also looks at elementary issues related to space and form and the portrayal of humans in art. The fundamentals of make-up artistry and anatomy for artists are also studied.

Theoretical subjects such as art history, philosophy, the history of the theatre and business administration accompany both the first and second phases of the course.

It is in the second phase of the course that all key make-up artistry techniques and technologies to be used creatively in the various pieces of practical coursework required are taught. The 8th semester sees a dissertation drawn up and presented to the public.
