The academy offers basic courses to students so that they can work independently with the technologies used in the workshops. Students can learn these in greater detail in further courses and furnish them as proof of performance. This enables students to work independently with the technology used in the Media Laboratory. Moreover, the Workshop Head can also be approached for guidance. Students can borrow digital photo and film cameras to complete their projects. The objective of the training is that students acquire an individual working method and learn to formulate their own artistic perspective, i.e., the acquisition of artistic, communicative, aesthetic, formal, organisational and technical competence.
