Nine scholarships are awarded for both faculties. Two of them are explicitly intended for the master class students of Faculty I. (Hegenbarth Scholarships in the Deutschlandstipendium programme). The scholarship of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, “The Artist's Advocat”, is also intended only for the students of Faculty I.
Talent and performance are the yardsticks for awarding a scholarship. When considering the overall potential of the applicant, other factors such as extracurricular activities or activities in other fields, personal career so far, educational background and social and family circumstances or indigence are also taken into account. The announcement complies with the legal framework conditions of the Scholarship Programme Law (StipG) and the regulations of the HfBK Dresden that are based on this law for the award of Deutschlandstipendium. These can be found on the website of the HfBK Dresden in the section Prizes and Scholarships.
The scholarship of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden “The Artist’s Advocat” as well as the two Hegenbarth scholarships have been extended with further support measures and include more than just the scholarship money. Details about the specific modalities can be found on the website.
