Accident and health insurance
During their studies, students are insured against the consequences of an accident directly related to their studies. In principle, students must have health insurance.
Students who are co-insured by their parents or spouse under a family insurance policy (normally up to the age of 25) are not subject to compulsory self-insurance.
This does not apply to students who are married or have children if the spouse or children are not covered by health insurance.
An insurance certificate from a health insurance company must be presented at the time of registration and when changing the health insurance company.
