Introduction to the basics of artistic metal casting, with practical implementation including all preparatory and follow-up work.


Metal castings are manufactured in the workshop for metal casting. Toralf Mjetk introduces students to the basics of artistic metal casting, practical implementation in lost wax techniques and sand casting, including all preparatory and follow-up work.
Students can create sculptures using bronze, aluminium or brass  and experiment with different materials and natural casting.


Courses

Introduction and instruction in the techniques of artistic metal casting in lost wax techniques, sand casting and natural castings in bronze and aluminium, as well as their practical implementation including all the necessary preparatory and follow-up work and experimental development of casting moulds for metal casting.

Courses are announced in writing by putting up a notice in the workshop and by sending an email to the students of sculpting classes.
Individual project mentoring is possible by personal agreement following a detailed presentation of the project.
