EU4ART

Ceramic Woods Firing Workshop in Lettland

Apply until 24.06.2022

What can you expect?

As a student of the Fine Arts program you have the opportunity to participate in a ceramics workshop in Riga and Ikšķile (Latvia) from 28 August to 04 September. The EU4ART partner university in Riga offers 3 places for students of the HfBK Dresden.

The workshop is dedicated to the wood firing technique, in which ceramics are fired in wood kilns or in a pit instead of in modern electric kilns. The special charm lies in the unpredictability and uniqueness of the fired objects.

The technique is not taught at the HfBK Dresden and offers a special opportunity for students who have already worked with ceramics.

In addition to the workshop work, you can expect a diverse program ranging from sightseeing in Riga to visiting museums and galleries. You can find the detailed program here: English Program
