The exhibition “Mundt and Wolff” presents works by the two emeritus professors Wilhelm Mundt and Carl Emanuel Wolff. Both have significantly shaped the teaching of sculpture at the HfBK Dresden over many years.
As different as their positions may seem, at their core they are related.
While Wilhelm Mundt transfers parts of his studio into the exhibition space and complements them with works by former students, Carl Emanuel Wolff presents a horde of silent percussionists and various creatures.
Carl Emanuel Wolff, who taught from 1999 to 2024 as Professor for Three-Dimensional Work and Sculpture at the so-called “Pfote,” the sculpture department of HfBK Dresden on Pfotenhauerstraße, was joined by Wilhelm Mundt as Professor of Sculpture in 2009 at the “Pfote.”
In the artist talk, moderated by Susanne Greinke, curator of HfBK Dresden, the discussion will focus on the works and artistic teaching.
As part of the exhibition, an artist talk with Wilhelm Mundt and Carl Emanuel Wolff will take place on Saturday, December 13 at 4:00 PM.
