Dear students of Faculty I at the HfBK Dresden,
surely you have heard about the EU4ART project, some more and some less. To change this and to give you all the possibilities to take part in it, we would like to invite you to inform yourself and to get involved.
Briefly about the project:
The three-year EU pilot project aims to facilitate more intensive exchanges between faculty, artistic staff and students from the partner universities in Rome, Riga and Budapest, to make better use of common resources and to build an international degree program in Fine Arts. The involvement and active participation of students is a particular concern.
To make this easier, we have created the Facebook group EU4ART Students is created. Calls, meetings and excursions are announced here. The language of the group is English, as it is addressed to all students of the four Alliance universities (Budapest, Riga, Rome and Dresden). However, it can also be translated into German.
On the opportunities for participation and involvement:
We are currently setting up a student committee ("student board") in which students can actively participate and get involved in the planning, organization and implementation of excursions, events, workshops as well as discussions within the framework of EU4ART. Thus, "student board" is to be understood as a group of students of Faculty 1. In addition, the student board selects the students to travel with and advises the EU4ART team from a student perspective.
All students in Faculty 1 should have the opportunity to either actively participate in the student board and/or participate in calls for proposals. We would announce these calls for excursions via the university's general newsletter as well as via our Website publish.
To get to know us, learn more about the project, and possibly join the Student Board, we are setting up an Open Meeting every second and fourth Monday at noon from 2 to 3 p.m. starting in May 2020, to which you are cordially invited in our workroom 202 on the Brühl Terrace.
If the university is still closed, we would be happy to invite you to a Zoom meeting in the virtual room. Please send us an email and we will invite you.
Best regards
Alex and Stefanie (for the EU4ART team)
