Hybrid Art School

Students of the HfBK Dresden in exchange with students of the media education room of the University of Cologne.

What can and should a university of the arts do in the 21st century with regard to digital and virtual formats? What potentials and hurdles does digitalization bring with it? How can analog teaching and digital formats support each other? It is not only since Corona and the "forced" digital action that art colleges have had to deal with the digitization of content and administrative processes.

Under the term "Hybrid Art School", in addition to the team of EU4ART, the student research assistants Veronika Pfaffinger and Victoria Gentsch are in close exchange with students of the MBR (Media Education Room) of the Institute for Art and Art Theory at the University of Cologne, who are Flipping University, under the direction of junior professor Konstanze Schütze, successfully established at their university. Under the topic area "Hybrid Art School", an open office hour on digital tools is being developed as well as an event on hybrid teaching initiated. Further events under this focus are planned for the future.
