A német Művészeti Főiskolák Rektori Konferenciájának (RKK) nyilatkozata a budapesti Színház- és Filmművészeti Egyetemen zajló eseményekkel kapcsolatban
Mi, a 24 német művészeti főiskola és művészeti egyetem Rektori Konferenciájának tagjai, akiknek az oktatás és kutatás szabadsága, a demokratikus döntéshozatal és a felsőoktatás autonómiája központi jelentőségű, komoly aggodalommal és kollegiális együttérzéssel követjük a budapesti Színház- és Filmművészeti Egyetemen zajló eseményeket. Az elmúlt hetekben nyilvánvalóvá vált, hogy a művészet, a tudomány és az oktatás szabadságának alapfeltételeit az Európai Unió szívében is veszélyek fenyegetik.
Szolidaritásunkat fejezzük ki a hallgatókkal, a visszalépett Szenátussal, a lemondott Rektori Tanáccsal, valamint a budapesti Színház- és Filmművészeti Egyetem felmondott oktatóival. Egyúttal tiltakozunk a magyar kormány antidemokratikus intézkedései ellen, amelyek a magyar egyetemek autonómiájának felszámolására irányulnak.
Felhívjuk a magyar kormány illetékeseit, hogy vonják vissza a magyar egyetemek autonómiája ellen irányuló intézkedéseket. Felszólítjuk az Európai Unió és a tagállamok döntéshozóit, hogy határozottan figyelmeztessék a magyar kormányt az SZFE-n az eredeti állapot haladéktalan visszaállítására, illetve a törvényes vezető testületek teljes hatáskörének visszaadására.
Statement of the German Conference of Rectors of Universities of the Arts (RKK) on the Events at the University of Theatre and Film Arts Budapest (SZFE)
We, the members of the Rectors' Conference of the 24 German art colleges and art universities, for whom freedom of teaching and research, democratic decision-making and university autonomy are central concerns, look with great concern and collegial sympathy at the events at the University of Theater and Film Arts Budapest (SZFE). In recent weeks, it has become clear here that the basic prerequisites of freedom of art, science and teaching are also at risk in the heart of the European Union.
We stand in solidarity with the students, the resigned senate, the resigned rectorate as well as the resigned teachers of the Budapest University of Theatre and Film Arts SZFE. And we protest against the anti-democratic measures of the Hungarian government to abolish the autonomy of Hungarian universities.
We appeal to the leaders of the Hungarian government to take back the measures against the autonomy of Hungarian universities. And we call on the bodies of the EU and its member states to urge the Hungarian government to immediately restore the status quo ante at SZFE and return all its powers to the legitimate governing bodies.
