+++ Lecture is in English +++

As part of the EU4ART alliance, a regional exhibition on the overarching theme of "Memory" will be held in the fall. At each partner university, an exhibition format will be developed in close collaboration with students. In preparation for this exhibition, a digital lecture series will take place over the summer, dedicated to specific content and conceptual focal points.

The series will kick off with a lecture by curator Dr. Paul O'Neill on curatorial methodologies for exhibitions, organized by the Latvian Academy of Art in Riga.

Dr. Paul O'Neill is an Irish curator, artist, writer and educator. He is the artistic director of PUBLICS, a curatorial agency in Helsinki that houses a dedicated event space, library and reading room. Between 2013-20117 he was the director of the graduate program at the Center for Curatorial Studies (CCS), Bard College, New York.

He is the author of the critically acclaimed book, The Culture of Curating and the Curating of Culture(s) (Cambridge, MASS., The MIT Press, 2012). His most recent book, which he co-edited, is entitled "Curating After the Global: Roadmaps to the Present," published by MIT Press, 2019. Paul is widely regarded as one of the most important research-oriented curators and leading scholars of curatorial practice, public art, and exhibition histories.
