She graduated from Berklee College of Music in contemporary music, and she has been producing and performing in various genres both in Korea and abroad. She is currently working on the project "MINYO CELLO", which reinterprets traditional Korea folk music and the roots of Korean music through the cello. Through this project, she was selected as a Microsoft Surface 4 Ambassador in 2021, by Arts Council Korea for New Work of the Year in 2023, and won the Best Work Award at Paju Fair_Book & Culture in 2024. Now, she is planning to Europe tour in the summer of 2025.
MINYO CELLO is a performance that reinterprets Korea's traditional music, 'Minyo', with a modern sensibility. It combines the cello with various band instruments to provide a new musical experience. By expressing traditional Korean 'Minyo' through the Western classical instrument of the cello, the performance offers audiences a familiar yet original musical approach, showcasing the harmonious possibilities that bridge tradition and modernity, East and West. This suggests that the cello can transcend the boundaries of classical music and fuse with diverse genres, aiming to reach a broader audience.
