Vita

1963Born in Springe
 Studied Fine Arts in Amsterdam and Hamburg and Stage Setting under Wilfried Minks and Marina Abramovićan of the HfBK Hamburg and Theatre Studies and Literature at the local university
Since 2001She has worked with director Stefan Pucher with great continuity since 2001, and several of her works, including “Der Sturm” in 2008, “Othello” and “Homo Faber” in 2005, and “Richard III” in 2003, have been invited to the Berliner Theatertreffen. Other artistic partners include Stefan Bachmann, Sebastian Baumgarten, Calixto Bieito, Schorsch Kamerun, Lars-Ole Walburg, Jossi Wieler/Sergio Morabito and choreographer Meg Stuart. 
 She works with many German and international theatres. In addition, Barbara Ehnes has created playable installations in recent years, such as “Istanbul Transgelinler” in 2009 and “Die schwarze Botin - remastered and remistressed” in 2013 at the Wiener Festwochen.
