This year's diploma exhibition features works by 42 diploma students. Many of the works on display respond directly to the rooms and their architectural features. In addition to classic artistic media such as painting and drawing, there are also expansive video installations, sound works and a virtual space that immerses the viewer in the artist's memory.
A labyrinthine spatial installation is dedicated to the working world of construction workers. Spotlights morse love letters between two opposite windows. A painting machine scrutinises authorship.
It is about bureaucratic processes and fairytale scenarios, the remnants of a children's party, asparagus, filigree lace and the production of milk and meat. The worlds that are shown here seem remote and at the same time are everyday and approachable.
