Even though 500 projects have been realized in the last 30 years, this is still a new way of working in the (expanded) field of art.
Alexander Koch is a curator, author and gallerist, and he is the director of the "New Clients" program of the German Society for New Media.
On 09.12. the workshop "On behalf of the people. Challenges to a contemporary art practice - a training" from 10-13 and 14-17.
The "new commissioning" model negotiates a new, non-hierarchical form of cooperation between artists and civil society. However, the task of finding a high-quality artistic solution for the commission in question often proves to be more difficult than expected by the artists.
