Department of Communication
The communications department is responsible for presenting the Academy online and elsewhere, and for the central website and social media management of the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. Social media facilitate dialogue and interactions with the public, provide an insight into course and research content, and enable real-time communication and networking with prospective students, current students, alumni, the press, cultural partners, the political sphere and business. Social media have a wide reach and are therefore the best prerequisite for increasing international recognition.
Newsletter for students and employees
The monthly internal newsletter of the HfBK Dresden contains information concerning current events, academy news, points of interest regarding art and research, as well as ongoing submissions and deadlines.
The HfBK Dresden newsletter for students and employees:
is published on the first Tuesday of every month (with minor schedule changes possible)
is not published betweens terms
Content deadline: last Wednesday of the preceding month

Online editorial department
The online editorial section of the Communications Department is responsible for the central website of the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts Would you like to add, expand on or change content on the HfBK Dresden website?
If you would like to request changes to content, please inform us of these using the following form.
Printing approval
Our university logo must be used on all printed matter. This can be found in various formats in the Design Manual // Download “HfBK Logo complete”. You will also find templates for posters, powerpoints or templates for social media.
Printed materials are submitted to the Communications Department and the Rector for approval.
