kylon is a modular ensemble around composer and guitarist Florian Burdyl and drummer Philip Dowerk with the ambition to set musical journeys to music in elaborate and multi-layered compositions without setting themselves musical boundaries. Currently, both artists are working on the visualization of their first piece "The Golden Ratio". Based on the numerical ratio Phi, which is the basis of the piece, both musicians set out to find common levels where video and music meet at eye level.

"How are you?" If someone greeted you like that, how would you respond? "All is well."? But is everything really fine?
Not only Germans live in Dresden, but also many foreigners (currently 8%) and Germans with a migration background (12.1%). In my experience, people of different origins live here in discord with each other. Therefore, I dream of a city from which a harmonious sound resounds from different voices. I wish to achieve this with a sound installation.

What is public space? Who does it belong to, how is it used? What can, may or should be done in public space? What does it mean to present art in public space, to intervene?
Eight works and interventions by young artists from the HfBK Dresden are brought together in a publication. They sensitize for a critical examination of public spaces.

According to the ancient Japanese Senbazuru legend, whoever folds 1,000 cranes will have a wish granted by the gods. Artist Omani Frei has taken this legend and drawn 1,000 cranes in the form of clear lines on paper. With the help of an algorithm, these 1,000 drawings are compared with each other and their similarity is calculated. The data obtained is the basis for further artistic processing of the illustrations in the form of an artist's book.

Research and collection were the focus of the first work phase of the project "Inventory Theater" by the stage and costume designer Jakob Ripp, in order to make the structures at the theater and their networks visible. In exchange with the Dresden cultural and theater landscape, this work was linked to the project NU! (Sustainable Enterprise), sponsored by the city of Dresden. Together with the tjg. Dresden and the integration into their operational structures, a sustainable production is developed - for a more sustainable theater operation.

LELÉKA is a young multicultural quartet whose music interweaves ancient Ukrainian motifs with contemporary jazz. The band around Ukrainian jazz singer Viktoria Leléka has already been awarded numerous prizes, including the Young Munich Jazz Prize as well as the European Young Jazz Prize Burghausen, and won the Global Music Contest - creole Berlin. Currently the musicians are working on their third album, for which they want to create an experimental volumetric music video in collaboration with students of the HfBK Dresden. Unfortunately due to Corona reasons the production had to be postponed and will take place only in 2021.

The Acantun Collective was founded together with conductor Katharina Dickopf and six international composers in 2019 to jointly create versatile and expressive concerts with new compositions. In doing so, Acantun is characterized by a special spectrum of artistic design, individual techniques and lively concepts. Each project focuses on a specific theme, which spans an arc between the individual works. Six new compositions on the theme of Christmas are now to be performed for the Saxon Brass Consort in Saxony between December 27 and 30, 2020 within the otherwise conventional program.

Is sacrifice a great dedication or rather a great selfishness? Have we served our gods, representatives, kings, mothers - or they us? Should we be grateful or should rather they be grateful to us? Can a god even exist without us? What does the mother want? Visual artist Soyoung Park and musician Sol-I So want to create a poetic modern musical theater piece together, inspired by a dream.

After the release of their debut album "cloud pop" 2019, for which the band Friedrich Chiller could win the Viennese producer Zebo Adam, the guys look back on a great concert and festival season and are already tinkering with new songs at full speed. the audio and video production for the single "Scooter", which will be released in May 2020. A smart and effective music video should combine the characteristic sound of the single, the semi-ironic story and our band identity.
